Thomas Vallely

Thomas Vallely is an award-winning theatre and film director, as well as a playwright, from Manchester. He apprenticed and trained in theatre directing under the internationally renowned and award-winning director Katie Mitchell. Additionally, he has completed further theatrical training at the historic Shakespeare’s Globe theatre in London.

He holds a Master’s degree in History from the prestigious University of Oxford. He trained in film directing under the guidance of Eliot Grove, founder of the famous Raindance Film Festival.

He is particularly well known for directing the award-winning short film Breathe Truth (2025), starring Dominic Chianese (The Sopranos, The Godfather II), as well as the film Oil Paint.
